

Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology (MIT) is a government-run educational institution in Bihar, supported by the Department of Science & Technology. The institute has secured NBA accreditation for its Civil Engineering Department. Associated with Bihar Engineering University, Patna, and approved by AICTE, MIT is among the oldest institutions offering both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Engineering and Pharmacy. The B.Tech program is particularly popular among students. Starting May 15, 2025, MIT Muzaffarpur will kick off the admission process for its undergraduate courses. Admission to these programs is based on the BCECE Entrance Exam, managed by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board. For those interested in postgraduate studies, a valid GATE score is necessary. The annual fee for B.Tech courses is INR 5,530, while the B.Pharm program costs INR 1,80,000. From the 2020-24 batch, a total of 131 students secured placements. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA, with an average package of 4.61 LPA.
