Established in 1986, Shri B. M. Patil Medical College in Vijayapura is a prominent constituent college of BLDE (Deemed to be University). The institution is well-recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and has been accredited with an 'A' grade by NAAC, reflecting its commitment to quality education. For the 2025 academic year, the college is projected to be ranked around the 110th position among medical colleges in India by NIRF, making it a noteworthy option for medical aspirants. The college primarily offers the undergraduate MBBS program, along with a range of postgraduate MD and MS courses. Entry into the flagship MBBS program is exclusively through the NEET-UG examination, with seat allocation conducted via MCC counselling. For students planning their finances for the 2025 batch, the annual tuition fee for the MBBS course is expected to be approximately INR 18.5 lakhs.
