Mata Gujri University in Kishanganj was founded in 2019 by the Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College & L.S.K. Hospital Trust under the Bihar Private University Act of 2013. The university has five affiliated institutions. According to Collegedunia's 2025 ranking, it holds the 464th position in the medical category. The university provides both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Medical Sciences, with the MBBS program as their flagship offering. Other programs include MS/MD, BSc in Nursing, BPharma, and MPharma.
