Ranga Raya Medical College (RMC) in Kakinada, also known simply as RMC Kakinada, is a well-established government medical school founded in 1958. It's affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Council. In 2025, it was ranked 211th in India and 4th in Andhra Pradesh for medical studies, according to Collegedunia. RMC Kakinada offers a variety of courses, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs in medicine. Its MBBS program is particularly prominent. To apply for the MBBS course, students must have completed their 10+2 with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Additionally, they need to clear the NEET UG exam and go through a counseling process managed by the Directorate General of Health Services for All India Quota and by NTRUHS for State Quota.
