Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) in Bellary is a well-regarded government medical college in Karnataka, established back in 1961. Affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), it has been a cornerstone of medical education in the region for decades.
