Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, popularly referred to as CSJMU and formerly Kanpur University, was founded in 1966. Recognized by the UGC, the university has earned an A++ grade from the NAAC. In 2025, Collegedunia ranked it 440th in the Medical category, while it secured the 26th position in the BCA category by IIRF. CSJMU provides a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with main degrees like B.Sc. and M.Sc. offered. Admission to these courses is based on merit. The fee structure for the B.Sc. program varies from INR 35,000 to 4.77 lakh, whereas the M.Sc. program fees range between INR 40,400 and 2.78 lakh.
