

Maharishi Markandeshwar (MMDU) in Ambala, which began as MM Group of Institutions in 2010, was established by the Maharishi Markandeshwar Educational Trust. It is notable for creating Haryana's first self-financed engineering, medical colleges, and deemed university. MMDU operates under the motto “Shaping Futures,” and is guided by the vision of crafting top-notch professionals to aid in the nation's economic growth. It aims to provide students with a technology-centered education for successful careers and to nurture them as responsible global citizens. The University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). In terms of placements, MMDU has seen remarkable success, with over 18,000 placements to date. The university offers more than 200 courses and is supported by 1300 faculty members, catering to a student body exceeding 13,000. The university has also been accredited as a premier institute by ASIC, UK, recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by DSIR, and earned accolades like the Top Institute Award by CSR in 2013 and the Best University award for quality infrastructure by GTU Ahmedabad and CMAI. It is also empaneled with ICCR and has received the NASA System Engineering Award.
