Vidyaa Vikas College of Engineering and Technology (VVCET) is situated in Namakkal and operates under the approval of AICTE, affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. Managed by the Vidyaa Vikas Educational and Charitable Trust, this college is known for delivering quality technical education aimed at developing industry-ready professionals. The college offers various departments, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Applications, and Business Administration. The central library at VVCET is a significant learning resource, boasting over 18,000 volumes and 6,800 titles. Additionally, the library subscribes to 160 national and international journals, fostering a rich academic environment. Accommodation for students is separately provided for both boys and girls, designed to offer a comfortable home away from home experience. The hostels promote a balanced lifestyle with activities such as yoga, meditation, sports, and music to keep students healthy and lively. The resource center is outstanding, with access to over 200 national and international journals, 22 magazines, and 48 networked Apple Macs in the digital library section. The Book Bank contains around 40,000 books, distributing approximately seven books per semester to each student. Students also have access to an online database with over one lakh volumes and a CD Bank with 10,000 CD-ROMs. Moreover, the digital library offers 275 server-based learning resources and various electronic periodicals. VVCET features a fully air-conditioned auditorium with 500 seats equipped with cutting-edge facilities like projectors and sound systems. This venue hosts diverse events such as cultural programs, conferences, seminars, debates, and plays. The college also provides various scholarships, including the BC, BCM, MBC, DNC, SC, SCA, ST, SCC Scholarship, along with special scholarships for hostellers.
