HLCC Ahmedabad, or Hargovandas Laxmichand College of Commerce, is a well-known autonomous institution that was established in 1936 and is situated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It is affiliated with Gujarat University and recognized by the UGC, holding a B++ accreditation from NAAC. In 2025, it was ranked 12th in Commerce by Collegedunia and secured 50th and 54th positions by The Week and Outlook, respectively, in 2024. HLCC Ahmedabad offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs, with B.Com (Accountancy) being one of the most sought-after courses. The college offers both self-financed and grant-in-aid programs. Among the self-financed options are BSc in Fintech & International Finance and BCom in Banking & Financial Services. As for the grant-in-aid programs, B.Com in Accountancy and M.Com in Accountancy are available, with the BCom (Accountancy) being particularly popular. Admission into the BCom (Accountancy) program requires candidates to have completed their 10+2 with English and Accountancy as main subjects from a recognized board. Admissions for B.Com and other UG courses, such as BS (Hons.), are based on merit, followed by GCAS counselling. The placement report for 2025 is awaited, but according to the latest NIRF overall report from 2024, the median package for the 3-year UG program was INR 3.50 LPA, while the 2-year PG program recorded a median package of INR 3.8 LPA.
