Rungta College of Engineering & Technology, Bhilai, often called RCET, began its journey in 1999. Recognized by AICTE and accredited by NAAC, it holds a prominent 26th position out of 245 in The Week's B.Tech rankings. RCET offers a broad array of programs, with its B.Tech offering in 14 specializations being the most prominent one, alongside M.Tech in two fields and an MBA. Additionally, the college provides MCA, Diploma, and Ph.D. courses. Admission into RCET is based on scores from national or state-level entrance exams. For its flagship B.Tech program, candidates need valid scores from JEE or CGPET. For MBA, admission is contingent on CMAT, MAT, CAT, XAT, or ATMA scores, while M.Tech candidates are selected based on GATE results. The annual fee for pursuing a B.Tech degree ranges from INR 75,000 to 1.16 lakh, and for an MBA, it starts from INR 50,000. However, the 2024 placement report highlights that major companies such as DBS Bank, Cognizant, SAP Labs, Persistent, Steria, Amazon, SAP, Accenture, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Lupin, and Nestle have recruited students from RCET.
