Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, commonly called IGIT Sarang, was established in 1982 and is affiliated with the Biju Patnaik University of Technology. It has earned an 'A' grade accreditation from NAAC, is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). In the 2024 IIRF Ranking, IGIT Sarang holds the 104th position in the engineering category. The institute offers a range of programs, including B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc, MCA, and Ph.D., in various fields. The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program is the flagship course at IGIT Sarang, available in nine different specializations.
