About
Thoothukudi Government Medical College is located in the picturesque Pearl City of Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The institution is driven by its motto, Born to Serve, and aims to instill the same ethos in its students. Since its establishment in 2000, the college has been offering several important healthcare services including an Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (ICTC), the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Project (RNTCP), the National Leprosy Eradication Project, and Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) for HIV testing. The college has gained recognition for hosting various events such as a National Conference on OBESITY at Annammal College of Teacher Training, a JTKMC journal release, and a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on Leprosy. The institution is distinguished by its four major departments: Clinical, Super Specialty, Pre Clinical, and Para Clinical. It provides education in several fields through its programs, including MBBS, Para-Medical Courses, and Nursing.
