Tirumala Devaswom Medical College, commonly known as TDMC, began as a private institution in 1963 and later transitioned into a recognized Government Medical College. It is progressing rapidly, with a vision to become one of the top medical colleges in India. The college focuses on equipping its students with the skills needed to make meaningful contributions to society. TDMC boasts several impressive figures and facilities. Established in 1963, the college is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences and holds approval from the Indian Medical Council. The college accommodates around 1,200 students and houses a vast collection of over 20,362 books in its library. Getting to TDMC is fairly straightforward, being located 92 kilometers from Cochin Airport, 9.2 kilometers from Alappuzha Railway Station, and 18.1 kilometers from Alappuzha Bus Station.
