

Smt. B.K. Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre in Vadodara was founded in 2003. Originally affiliated with Gujarat University and recognized by the Medical Council of India, it gained the status of a deemed university under the UGC Act of 1956. This institution offers a variety of Bachelor, Master, and Paramedical courses across different fields of medical sciences. The institute partners with the 1100-bed Dhiraj Hospital, which boasts advanced diagnostic capabilities including CT and MRI scans, Ultrasound, and Digital X-rays. It is equipped with facilities like a Clean Labour Room (CLR), a Septic Labor Room (SLR), and a Radiotherapy Department that provides therapeutic services for both outpatients and indoor cancer patients. Accommodation includes separate hostels for boys and girls, housing 400 and 594 students, respectively, with additional hostel facilities for 468 postgraduate students.
