Government Medical College (GMC), Kozhikode, is a renowned public medical school situated in Kozhikode, Kerala, and was established back in 1957. Spanning across a vast 270-acre campus, GMC Kozhikode is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). In 2025, it was ranked 23rd in the medical category by Collegedunia. The college provides a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-speciality courses across various fields like Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing. Admissions to these programs are based on students’ performance in entrance exams. The MBBS program offers 250 seats, while 20 are available for the B.Pharm course. Some of the entrance exams accepted by the college include NEET UG, NEET PG, and NEET SS. One of the flagship offerings at GMC Kozhikode is the BSc program, which requires KEAM scores for admission. The annual fee for the first year of BSc ranges from INR 22,085 to INR 23,235. About 50% of the seats are reserved for students from Kerala based on state-level merit.
