About

Established in 1987, P.M. Nadagouda Memorial Dental College & Hospital is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and holds an 'A' grade accreditation from NAAC, which speaks to its quality standards. The college is recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and was ranked 39th in the dental category by NIRF in its latest rankings. The primary course here is the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), along with postgraduate MDS programs in various specialities. For the 2025 admissions, entry into the BDS program will be based on your NEET UG scores, followed by counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The fee structure can vary significantly depending on the seat quota. For the 2025 academic year, the expected fee for a government quota seat is approximately INR 1.15 lakhs per year, while a management quota seat could be around INR 7.20 lakhs annually. Unlike engineering colleges, dental institutions don't have a conventional campus placement model with salary packages. Graduates from the 2025 and 2026 batches will typically pursue a few main paths. Many opt for higher studies by preparing for NEET MDS to secure a specialization. Others join private clinics, government hospitals, or start their own dental practice after completing their one-year compulsory rotatory residential internship, which provides crucial hands-on experience.
