The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is dedicated to equipping students with a solid foundation in the food, catering, and hospitality sectors. The institute emphasizes global exposure, constantly pursuing international collaborations to enhance student learning. Emphasizing skill development and capacity building, NCHMCT is committed to maintaining up-to-date infrastructure to offer students the best practical experiences. By fostering innovative ideas and enhancing networking opportunities, the institute prepares students for real-world challenges. NCHMCT was established in 1982 as an autonomous institute under the Government of India's approval, and its campus supports around 10,800 students. Currently, there are 64 institutes affiliated with NCHMCT. The institute is easily accessible, with the Indira Gandhi International Airport located 30 km away, the Delhi Cantonment railway station at a distance of 32 km, and the facility being well-connected by NH 24 through buses and taxis. Choosing NCHMCT offers several advantages. It maintains strategic national and international collaborations, aligning its curriculum with global standards. Notably, it partners with Lausanne Hospitality Consulting, Switzerland, for curriculum and faculty development, and has joined hands with IGNOU for M.Sc. and B.Sc. programs, including management courses like MBA. The institute offers a variety of specialized programs, ranging from full-time master's and bachelor's degrees to short-term diploma and craftsman certificate courses. Moreover, the Hunar se Rozgar tak scheme aims at social upliftment and employment by providing training and job opportunities to individuals from diverse backgrounds. This initiative recognizes the vast requirements of the tourism industry and works towards integrating skilled individuals into the workforce.
