Miranda House, established in 1948, is a renowned government women’s college for Arts and Science affiliated with the University of Delhi. It boasts an ‘A++’ accreditation from the NAAC. The college offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, Languages, and interdisciplinary fields. Additionally, Miranda House provides short-term certificate courses in Computer Applications alongside add-on courses like Data Science and Analytics, and Medical Biotechnology. In 2024, NIRF ranked Miranda House 2nd out of 300 Indian colleges in the overall category. The institution offers a total of 45 programs across UG, PG, and certificate levels. The Bachelor of Science (Hons.) and the Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) are particularly popular among students here. For the first year, the fees for BA (Hons.) range from INR 14,160 to 17,080, while B.Sc (Hons.) fees start from INR 17,100 and go up to INR 19,800. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on performance in the CUET UG/CUET PG exams, following which seats are allocated through the Common Seat Allocation System UG (CSAS). Prospective students need to apply online via the university’s portal for admissions. Although the placement report for 2025 hasn’t been published yet, the NIRF report of 2024 states that the median salary for UG graduates was INR 7.50 LPA, while PG students received a median package of INR 8.20 LPA.
