The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, commonly referred to as IHM Kolkata, is a well-known hospitality institute that started its journey in 1963. It is recognized and approved by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). In the 2024 rankings by IIRF, IHM Kolkata was placed 6th in the Hotel Management category in India and it holds the top spot in Kolkata. The institute offers a range of courses, including Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate programs in Hospitality and Catering services. IHM Kolkata’s flagship course is the B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. Admission into this program, as well as the MSc, is based on merit and entrance exams such as the NCHMCT JEE for BSc and MSc JEE for MSc, followed by counseling sessions.
